[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I know in today's world, not as many people sew and these kinds of things have become almost irrelevant.  However, a flexible measuring tape like this is always needed to check measurements before ordering clothing online or to take measurements if you are doing a weight loss program.  So besides just using the measuring tape for sewing, it works great for other things.  It is small enough to stick in your purse if you need to measure something at the store to see if it will fit in your house.  The tape (unlike a normal measuring tape) stays out until you retract it.  It has a little button in the middle to retract the tape measure and it comes in really fast.  My kids even like playing with it to measure things around the house.  The seam ripper is excellent if you have a scout or someone with patches that need to be sewn on a shirt, or a heavy child that needs a bigger size pants, but not the length.  My oldest son is in scouts, and when he gets bigger and requires a new scout shirt, I have to remove the patches from one shirt and move them to a new one.  This seam ripper is excellent in helping remove patches.  I tried doing it with scissors, but it just took a long time trying to not cut the clothing but cut the stitches.  That is what this seam ripper does best.  My mom has one of these from when I was little and she used to sew all of my clothes that she still uses for projects like this.  I am very excited to have my own that makes removing patches much simpler.  This set is amazing and I recommend it to anyone that can use either of these items.

Both are easy & comfortable to use and I love that the measuring tape is retractable, locks in place and very flexible. The ripper has a thick comfortable handle, comes with a cover and is very sharp.  Fiskars products are always great quality.

I love the seam ripper it is good quality and works great! I love the orange color because it makes it easy to see when I'm looking for it. I love the handle it is large and fits my hand better and makes using it extremely easy. It is soft on my hand and very sturdy. It is sharp and has a cover over the end which is nice. I use it when taking the hem out of curtains to change the length, cutting off buttons to save, etc. The measuring tape is very nice too and good quality. It measures in inches on one side and in centimeters on the other and measures 5 feet. I love the orange color of it too and it is the right size, I like taking it with me to measure sometimes when I'm away from home.  I like that it retracts by pushing the button in the center and it also locks when measuring. The tape is very flexible and easy to use. I would recommend them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a retired firefighter who is also an avid collector. One of the many things I enjoy collecting is fire department patches. One of my favorite patches comes from my department and is very interesting and valued to other collectors. That being said I often trade patches. Many times guys and gals will cut up and old shirt to trade with me. This gives me a new/old patch but it's attached to a shirt. This seem ripper will be used exclusively to remove sewn on patches. It works like a dream. I have removed several patches already and the ripper removed the last as well as it did the first. Fiskers is a brand I trust so I am confident it will come in handy for years. No more bothering my wife for her sewing kit.

I love the compact and organized and ORANGE (easy to spot) tape measure that rolls back in with the click of a button. The seam ripper is so much nicer than the one that came with my machine, it’s bigger and easier to grip and ergonomically I imagine better for my hands and wrists…this coming from someone who has been self teaching clothes making and quilting and sometimes sucks at it but keeps going back for more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fiskars® Seam Ripper & Measuring Tape Set.   I seem to be able to either loose or break seam rippers.  This set has obliviated both concerns.  The items are larger, making for easy grip and locating when I set a piece down.  The Ripper is very sturdy and easy to move about when working on projects.
